nickf wrote
May 30, 2008 at 21:24
i could probably do something like that. i don't have too much homework... don't make fun of me if i bring along a shock pump for new bike reasons. which trail were you aiming more towards, were others going also?

nickf wrote

i've only ridden it at colonnade, so i don't have any real dh time on it yet, but it's feeling great. it's much better than my other dh bike. more snappy, lighter, plusher, corners better... i haven't gotten used to it going off jumps or drops yet. it's a new geometry to me. a 9 years difference between my other dh bike is a lot of time for dh bikes to improve geo of all things. i haven't set the suspension up to its fullest potential yet. i still have some fidling to do.

well, transition was out of stock on pedals, the front tire, and seats. ofcourse, i was already going to upgrade the seat to ibeam, the tire to tubeless, and i guess i could always get new pedals like straitlines. i only needed those parts for the bike i was going to them transfer over to. i need shop tools to cut the steer tube and to correct some spacing issues.

nickf wrote
May 20, 2008 at 22:54
nope, only a little more than half way. i need to stop by a shop for some stuff

they tore down part of the second step-up to gap, not sure what they got planned to put there but it should be sweet. (that is if its not some stunt hater with a chansaw that tore it down)

the upper section to exit 25 is great. i love that strait away into that 15 (20?) footer. i wasn't able to get to the higher right side of the hip afterwards, only the left side (i'm blaming it on my bike). those shrubs in the middle should be grown out so it's more epic to ride over. all of those jumps are big enough to get a little adrenaline going but small enough to keep it social... perfect.
